With a detachable light allowing for better selfies under any light condition, the Pictar Smart-Light selfie stick’s 6-button control panel gives you full control of all photographic elements, including zoom, image brightness and more.
Lighting is everything. Unbalanced shadows in the wrong places (i.e. under your eyes or nose) can make you look kinda meh. Even lighting will accentuate your best assets and smooth out skin damages. When you’re taking a selfie, make sure you have a good source of light in front of you (unless you’re going for a more dramatic look – in this case light coming from the side will give you a deep, contrast-y feel), or simply pop on your selfie stick’s headlight for consistent lighting that will make you look just awesome.
We believe everyone is perfect and beautiful in their own way. None of us have symmetric features or flawless skin… and that’s ok! After the launch of the Pictar mobile photography hub in 2019, we realized that one of the main things people are looking to do with their mobile photography is… taking selfies! We know selfies are big, that’s why we created the 1st generation of the Pictar Smart Selfie Stick, but were surprised to see it day in day out on our best sellers list.
We then took a deep dive into Instagram, studied thousands of selfies, trying to figure out what is it that makes a good selfie and what are most people doing wrong. We realized that finding the right angle and achieving stability and control are key, but the secret sauce that’s missing from so many selfies is good lighting.
Our product manager and lighting expert Sean immediately set out to build the team to design the perfect light this selfie stick – one that’s strong enough, adjustable enough and light to fit a selfie stick, without big or too heavy. After testing numerous options and designs, our team was able to develop and prototype the Pictar Smart-Light Selfie Stick, the ultimate stick for consistently perfect selfies!
